Golf Majors Pick'em

A simple way to add a little friendly competition to the conversation between friends who watch the majors together.

The why

For a few years now, a group of my friends and I have picked who we thought would win each golf major. One of us would keep track of everyone's picks on a piece of paper, read them back at the end of the weekend, declare a winner, and we'd do it again at the next major.

It was great until it wasn't. Picks got misremembered. The paper got lost. Sunday afternoon we'd be arguing over who actually had Scheffler. I figured there had to be a better way. Something simple enough that nobody had to run the spreadsheet, easy enough that the friend who only half-watches the tournament still wants to play.

I wasn't trying to build a fantasy sports app. I wanted a place to put the picks so the friends could focus on the actual fun part: watching the tournament together.

What I was thinking

Set it and forget it. Create a clubhouse, invite your friends, choose your game type, lock in your picks before tee-off, and let the tournament unfold. No spreadsheet. No paper. Nobody has to be the commissioner.

Built mobile-first because every conversation about a major already happens in a group chat. First live tournament was the Masters in 2026. More game types and the other three majors are next on the bench.
